ANNUAL GUN RAFFLE:
Raffle tickets officially go on sale Feb. 24th.  Frank Noble will be at the Club on Saturday, 2/28 to hand out books of tickets to anyone who wants to sell them for us.  This is an important club fundraiser.  We have six prizes:  five pistols and a $50 gift card for Sportsman's Outpost.  The raffle drawing is May 24, 2015.  The tickets are $10 each with maximum of 1000 tickets to be sold.  If we get off to a good start it makes thing a lot easier.  Please help us with this year's raffle; we'd like another sellout.

Past WLOPA events:

We held our Christmas Party on Dec. 5th and it was very well attended and all had a good time enjoying friendships and great food.  Thanks to all who helped with the Christmas Party and also the Handicap Party the next day.  Santa was there and entertained everyone.  A special thank you to Spartan II Restaurant in Plantsville who donated their time and food to the Handicap Party which the children and adults enjoyed.

Thanks to all who helped with our Fall Cleanup on Nov. 16th 2014.

We held our Annual Breast Cancer Shoot on July 19th and it was a success.  Thanks to all who helped, especially for Frank Noble and his team for running this event.  There were several squads and money was raised for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer and for local emergency relief.  There were great bucket raffle prizes and a silent auction featuring a Duck Commander Mossberg long gun.  Several businesses contributed prizes and we appreciate all that the local businesses did to support this event.

There was a Defensive Driving Course given by club member Bill Howard from AAA.  Thanks to Bill for spending the time to teach this class to our members.

The Annual Friends of NRA Dinner at the Aqua Turf was a great time and WLOPA had four tables in support of this event.
