Our Mission

Sport Shooting

Our mission is to enjoy the sport of shooting with an emphasis on safety, community, and friendship.  We treasure our 2nd amendment right "the right of the people to keep and bear arms".  We pass this passion on to new members, young members, who will  help sustain our continuous operation.

Our History

Established in 1933

WLOPA, located in the Town of Wolcott, just north of Waterbury CT, was established in 1933. Originally designed as a shooting club emphasizing hunting, the WLOPA program has grown over the years to include a number of organized shooting, charitable, and social activities.
