WLOPA will be hosting a Military Rifle Shoot on Sunday, 7/19 at 2:00 P.M. This is a 40 round match, with course of fire as follows:

Social Distancing Rules Apply, Wear a Mask and reccommed hand sanitizer for washing hands.

Standing (10 rd.) Slow fire - 5 min.
Sitting or kneeling - twice, shooters choice (20 rd.) (70 sec.)
Prone - 10 rd. (unsupported rifles). (70 sec.)

This match was previously scheduled as a .22 Sil. match, but we haven't prepared a suitable plan for .22 matches yet, in view of current safety considerations.

The following new guidelines, in lieu of Covid-19, are as follows:

  •  Shooters only, no non-shooting guests/spectators allowed.
  • Shooters will supply their own shooting mats/blankets. Beach towels are acceptable. Cardboard, although somewhat slippery, will be available for shooters without mats.
  • Contestants will observe reasonable social distancing. Masks may be worn. Rubber gloves optional. And no unnecessary contact with others. Especially with those running the match.
  • Stoppages, such as stovepipes, and feeding issues, will be cleared by the cognizant shooter.
  • No food or beverages will be sold. Please bring your own if desired, or you may purchase food at the bar. As always, no alcohol may be consumed before shooting.
  • Since matches are $5.00 each, shooters are asked to bring exact change for each planned match. This eliminates unnecessary money handling.
  • When not in use, guns should be stored in the racks provided (with actions open), or kept in a gun case.
  • Shooters are encouraged to shoot twice, so bring extra 5's and extra ammo. I bring at least 100 rd. normally, because you can't shoot what you didn't bring!.
  • And "Others" qualify as well, preferably with peep sights.
  • Bolt action rifles are allowed as always, with extra time allowed on all rapid fire phases.
